Year 8 Parable of the Talents success

On Friday 14th July, Year 8 pupils and their form tutors gathered in the Chapel to celebrate their successes in the Parable of the Talents assembly.

We were able to share the wonderful and imaginative ways that the pupils have raised money for charity along with some incredible individual totals, the best form and the overall total amount raised.

Each pupil had been given £1 each with which to grow and raise further funds in the most creative ways they could think of.

We were delighted to see that Year 8, as a group have raised an incredible grand total of £2,517.25. The Year group submitted charity suggestions and the final two who will receive a share of the total funds raised are The Teenage Cancer Trust and The Forget-me-not Centre at St John’s Hospice, Lancaster.

We had some amazing efforts all round – just see those below who achieved £100+. Kyla M raised an amazing £262.10 from her original £1 and our Form table was topped by 8Benson with £495.09!

Pupils were presented with one of four certificates of Bronze, Silver, Gold and Platinum variety for their sterling efforts and we fully congratulate them.
