Ethos & Spiritual Dimension

Ensuring spirituality features in all aspects of school life

At Ripley we have a deep sense of Christian community; this is expressed not only in the way we live out our lives together but in our corporate worshipping life. Pupils and staff begin each day with an act of collective worship in our school chapel and special services are held throughout the year to celebrate the Christian festivals.

In view of the Christian foundation of the school, the governors expect that in choosing the school parents thereby commit their child to taking a full part in the RE and worshipping life of the school.

Our vision

We aim for all members of our Christian community to  flourish spiritually, academically and personally so that they can live life in all its fullness.

‘I have come in order that you might have life – life in all its fullness.’

(John 10:10)

How we realise our vision

At Ripley, we realise our vision   through our Christian values of faith, hope, love and service. Our commitment to the Christian faith and these values helps create our harmonious, kind and  considerate school.

‘And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.’

(1 Corinthians 13:13)
