Year 7 fly through Stage 2 of their French Spelling Bee
Our Year 7 French Spelling Bee contestants, who were successful in Stage 1, undertook the next stage of their Routes into Languages Spelling Bee competition recently.
They were tasked with with memorising the spelling and pronunciation of up to 150 words in French, on demand.
One by one, the successful Stage 1 winners had a timed recital as fast, and as accurately as they could, in the presence of Mme Berry, Mme Stride and their peers. The top 3 will be progressing to the next stage which will be held at Liverpool University after Easter.
It was quite a tense atmosphere for them and they all coped remarkably well in front of each other. Good luck for the next stage – to our 3 winners, Sylvia, S and L!
