Inspiring talk for Year 8 from Author Phil
On Thursday 27th June, Year 8 enjoyed the company of award-winning author Phil Earle, who returned to Ripley on his second visit to talk about his life, his career and what inspired him to pick up the pen and become an author.
His engaging, straightforward, witty and quickfire delivery had the pupils totally transfixed and he pitched his talk at exactly the right level to inspire all readers – be they reluctant or avid bookworms.
A number of Phil’s books – ‘When the Sky Falls’, ’While the Storm Rages’ and ‘Until the Road Ends’ – were available to buy at discounted prices and he very happily personally signed all the books on order.
