Cyber Girls First for cracking codes

Cyber Girls First aims to empower young girls with an interest in Computer Science by showcasing the latest advancements in technology and providing insights into potential career paths in STEM.

This event was held at Lancaster University on Monday 25 March and proved to be a valuable opportunity for our Year 7 and 8 girls to engage with like-minded individuals, participate in workshops, and gain exposure to the limitless possibilities of computer science.

Mrs Barton, Mr May, Mrs Duckworth and the girls had a fantastic day and enjoyed taking part in a Cyber security challenge where they had to defend their business from hackers. They had a go at code breaking by learning industry techniques and deciphering secret messages!
