CPD Courses

We are pleased to offer the following courses during 2020-21

NPQML and NPQSL

We have now established a partnership with the Best Practice Network so that we can offer NPQML and NPQSL in our region. Please find attached details of these programmes. Most of the delivery is online and we are hoping to get at least 12 participants on each programme so we can run the face to face delivery locally.

All CE primary and secondary schools in Lancashire are eligible for free places on these programmes – please see attached list of eligible schools. Other schools can use their apprenticeship levy to fund these programmes and one of the attached documents gives more details of this. LA schools will need to ask their LA about using apprenticeship funding.

If any colleagues want to apply they will be able to select Ripley TSA, Lancaster as their preferred training partner when they book a place. Please ignore the 30th June deadline but encourage colleagues to apply soon!

NASBTT Level 1 Effective Mentoring and Coaching

This course is for colleagues who are new to mentoring and coaching. Perhaps you are mentoring trainee teachers, NQTs, RQTs or other department colleagues.

NASBTT Level 2 Advanced Mentoring and Coaching

This course is for those with more experience of mentoring and coaching. It is also suitable for middle leaders as it includes managing performance, having difficult conversations and workplace coaching

NASBTT Level 2 Facilitating Inspiring CPD

This course is for those who will be delivering cpd to teachers, colleagues or trainees on school-led programmes. It’s a rare chance to receive training on how to deliver training and is back by popular demand.

RQT Programme for 2020-21

Our RQT is for teachers in their 2nd to 5th year as a teacher.  Teachers in the early years following their NQT year often experience a ‘dip’ in their performance and confidence. We provide enhanced CPD support for Recently Qualified Teachers to ensure they continue to grow and develop as teachers.
