Year 8 visits to Normandy

In June, two sets of 40 year 8 pupils set sail to France for our annual visits to Normandy.

The groups stayed at the incredible and beautiful Château de Baffy and enjoy lots of sunshine filled evenings and their incredible French fine dining.

Daytime activities included visits to Honfleur and Bayeux as well as bartering in a French market, bowling  and seeing the Bayeux tapestry!

We also visited a goats cheese farm and picnicked at Omaha beach. All pupils took part in a commemorative service at the British War Memorial, laying a poppy wreath and poppy crosses.

Pupils, once again, excelled at our MFL slogan of ‘a little language goes a long way’ and we were all proud of their willingness to try new things (frogs legs and snails!) as well as their impeccable Ripley behaviour.#normandy #ripleymfl #year8normandytrip
