Year 8 Parable of the Talents

Year 8 pupils have, once again, gone above and beyond using their God-given talents to make a difference.
Starting with just £1 each, they were challenged to raise as much money as possible for charity. Their subsequent demonstration of creativity, initiative and generosity was nothing short of extraordinary. Together, the final total raised was a staggering £5,000, smashing last year’s total of £2,744!

A huge congratulations to Form 8 Bannon, who led the way as the top performing form by raising an impressive £689.05 collectively.
A special shout out also goes to Louisa Hoyles of 8 Maguire, who raised highest individual total of £279 by selling football squares – a truly outstanding individual achievement!

The efforts of all Year 8 pupils were celebrated during Wednesday’s assembly, where pupils were awarded Bronze, Silver, Gold, and Platinum certificates in recognition of their commitment and success.

We are delighted to announce that this year’s funds will be donated to Cancer Care and we were honoured to welcome Hayley Pritchard, Community Fundraiser for Cancer Care, into our assembly to receive the cheque on behalf of the charity.

Thanks to the hard work and generosity of our Year 8 pupils, the total raised for charity over the past three years has now reached an incredible £10,261.56.
Well done Year 8.
