Year 13 Physicists stand out in British Physics Olympiad

We are very proud of the outstanding achievements of three of our Year 13 Physics students in the British Physics Olympiad competition. Adam Seward achieved GOLD whilst Eve Calvey and Karol Kulig both reached BRONZE II Level.

Only the most able even enter this competition and Adam’s GOLD result was in the top 15% of the 2830 from 440 schools who entered. It is also an improvement on the Silver award he achieved last year in the Year 12 competition.

This paper challenges a range of student knowledge, preparation and ability, allowing access for good students, whilst also aiming at stretching and challenging the top young physicists in the country in a national competition.

We wish them all well in their upcoming A level exams and  university study – two of them hold offers from Oxford – so they all have exciting prospects ahead.
