World Book Day 2026
Happy World Book Day!
World Book Day is a global celebration of books, authors, and the joy of reading, created to inspire children and young people to discover the pleasure and power of stories. It highlights how reading for fun can transform lives, supporting imagination, confidence, and future success.
Pupils and staff have been proudly wearing their World Book Day stickers around school, sparking conversations about much‑loved stories and the iconic characters who bring them to life.
In great anticipation, we are delighted to share that our wonderful staff have once again taken part in this year’s Masked Reader, and the videos are now available to watch on FireFly under Libraries > The Masked Reader. Pupils are invited to join the fun by guessing the identities of our mysterious readers. There are 15 Easter Eggs to be won and the official entry forms can be collected from the Reading Room. See the final picture for a sneak peak of Miss Triple Word!
