Y13 Parents’ Information Evening

7pm Phythian Hall, Sixth Form Centre

I am writing to invite you to a Year 13 Parents' Information Evening on Wednesday 27 March at 7pm in the Phythian Hall in the Sixth Form Centre.

The purpose of this evening is to inform you of the protocols and procedures which students need to follow for the external exams this summer term, and other information about what to do in the event of, for example, illness.

There will also be some information about ways in which you can support your children through this intensive period of revision and exams. Brief details of how and when exam results in August will be released will also be covered. In addition, we are pleased that we have a speaker from Lancaster University on the evening who will give information about the process of applying for, and paying back, Student Finance, which all students applying to university should now be applying for. Household income determines the level of financial support your child is eligible to receive. Parents of students not applying to universities will have the opportunity to leave between the talks.

We do hope you are able to attend this information evening, and so you will feel better equipped to support our students at this important stage in their academic lives.

Kind regards
Denise Apsey
Head of Year 13
