New Farm Additions

Ripley St Thomas has welcomed a delightful array of new residents, bringing fresh energy and curiosity to our beloved school farm. Leading the charge are Nessie and Flossie, two irresistibly fluffy Valais Blacknose sheep whose charming spiral horns and teddy bear-like faces have already made them firm favourites among students and staff alike.
Joining them in the exotic corner of the farm are some fascinating invertebrates: stick insects and giant African land snails. These creatures may be small, but they’re mighty in their ability to spark wonder and teach us about the diversity of life. The snail, with it’s impressive shell and slow, deliberate movements, offer a calming presence, while the stick insects are masters of disguise.
Adding a touch of the tropics is Echo, our new leopard gecko. With spotted skin and gentle nature, Echo is a captivating ambassador for reptiles and a brilliant addition to our animal care programme.
We are also lucky to welcome chickens back to the farm!
And let’s not forget the guinea pig trio: Vivien, Marble, and Popcorn. These squeaky bundles of joy are full of personality!
Together, these new arrivals enrich the farm’s educational mission, offering hands-on learning and responsibility.
