LMC Hospitality and Catering School visit for Year 10
On Tuesday 14 January, a group of Year 10 GCSE Food & Preparation pupils, together with Miss Exton and Mr Dunne, visited Lancaster & Morecambe College Hospitality and Catering School.
Hope L, Dan E, Joe B, Josh O, Lily B, Imogen A, Jack B, George E, Lenny M and Isaac F from Year 10 visited Lancaster & Morecambe College Hospitality and Catering School for a Careers taster day.
Students had a tour of the college and enjoyed a talk from Thomas Ferrante, General Manager from #TheGilpinHotel in the Lakes which offers fine dining experiences in their Michelin starred restaurant.
They also listened to talks from the Hospitality lecturers at the college and learnt about the range of courses on offer and watched a food demonstration. They enjoyed a lunch in the restaurant and then had the opportunity to participate in a cooking workshop.
A great day out for them, highlighting the world of working in catering and hospitality.
