Teacher of English (maternity cover)

We are looking to appoint two Teachers of English to cover maternity leaves within the department: one will be from May 2026 and one from June 2026. As a Teacher of English at Ripley St Thomas, you will be responsible for delivering engaging lessons that inspire and motivate students. You will contribute to the development of students’ literacy skills, foster a love for literature, and support their overall academic progress.

The successful candidates will have the opportunity to join an outstanding school and a dynamic department that achieves good results at both GCSE and A Level, benefits from excellent facilities and offers a wide range of co-curricular opportunities.

Skills and Qualifications:
– A strong command of the English language with excellent communication skills.
– Ability to plan and deliver effective lessons tailored to the needs of secondary school students.
– Willingness to learn and adapt teaching methods as needed.
– Good organisational skills with attention to detail.
– Basic understanding or willingness to develop knowledge of curriculum requirements.
– Relevant qualifications in Education or English
