Buses
Please click the download below for a list of the ‘designated’ bus routes. There are also a number of service buses that run through the district and have stops near to school but they do not drop off or pick up directly outside Ripley.
In order to assist parents of children in Years 7 to 11 who travel a considerable distance but are not eligible for mega rider passes an application for a ‘top up’ grant can be made.
The grant is to assist with travel expenses. It will not cover full costs. The ‘top up’ grant only relates to bus travel not taxi fares. For full information and an application form please see below.

We would also draw your attention to the train service from Morecambe. This is still subsidised by the government and an annual pass costs as little this year as £80. Pupils do have to walk to and from the station, but it might be worth considering.
Trainline have also put together a guide to booking family train tickets which includes ways you can save money on train tickets and child fare information.
