Christmas Concert success
Well done to all of the pupils involved in Tuesday's Christmas Concert at Ripley and to all of the peripatetic tutors, music department staff, and parents for helping them to achieve their potential and perform to such a high level - THANK YOU!
The Christmas concert opened with Andras playing a piece by Philip Glass, followed by the String Group performing a variety of pieces from ‘The Snowman’
Next up we had the Brass Band playing ‘Floral Dance’, Rachael performing Fine Fine Line from Avenue Q (puppet included!) and the Junior Boys’ Choir singing ‘here we come a-wassailling’.
Taking us to the interval we had performances from the School Band, Gabriel on flute, singing and dancing from Glee Club, Chapel Choir and vocals from Charlie.
Following on from a short break, the Guitar Group, Junior Girls’ Choir and Katie performed a vocal solo, followed by the Jazz Band.
Upper School Choir, A Christmas Treat and Saxophone Group have all given excellent performances. Then it was time for the Orchestra to close the show.
Stunning performances from our young people, with more to come from the Chapel Choirs at our Carol Service on 17 December. We can’t wait
