Professor Crewdson receives special Maundy Money award

It is good to have something to celebrate and I thought you would all like to see these pictures of our Chair, Professor Crewdson, in receipt of this year's Maundy Money.

John received an invite to attend the annual ceremony and to meet Her Majesty the Queen at Windsor Castle on Maundy Thursday this year, following his nomination for this very special award.

The Maundy distribution reflects Jesus’s instructions to us to love and serve each other and it will be no surprise to you that John was nominated in recognition of his long and distinguished service to the education community in our area and beyond.  John has made a remarkable contribution to Ripley St Thomas as Governor and Chair of Governors, to our Trust as its founding Chair and to the wider community as a National Leader of Governance.

I am sure that it was obviously somewhat of a disappointment that the award had to be sent in the post but it was no less special for that.  I understand that glasses were raised to Her Majesty!

I hope you will join me in congratulating John and wishing him well as he continues to work for the good of the young people in our Trust.

Kind regards

Mrs E Nicholls
Interim Principal
